Ride-Along Registry: Scientists, managers, and students
are encouraged to sign up to ride-along with participating members
of the fishing industry on their fishing trips.
The fishermen involved in this project have volunteered to take people
out on their boats for no charge. Arrangements have been made to provide
the necessary insurance.
The goal is to provide managers, scientists, students the opportunity
to ride-along to experience a fishing day, which will hopefully start
to provide a better understanding of the human aspect of fishing and
begin to close the communication gap between fishermen, managers,
and scientists.
Contact the fisherman you are interested in going on a ride-along
with directly. Contact information and locations are in the table
below.
